The first time i use Linux is around 1999 or 2000, my first experience is installed it on my friends computer, without any ide what is linux, and internet connection. When i start to installed it, my first thought is it like a windows, you need serial number to installed it, well it don’t.

Well the installation did not success , since all of us never installed linux before, so it really like trial and error. While two of my friend are gave up i’m continue to install it on my own computer. I managed to installed it on my computer but have a problem with the display and virtual screen ( my VGA was ALI with 4 Mega), finally i gave up installing in those computer.

Not so long, my mom’s bought a new computer. A PIII with XL2000 mainboard and intergrated VGA, i was happy, thinking i could installed Linux on it. i was rush to dept store, and bought a linux distro named Red Hat 7.0 , and installed it on the computer.

When i was on college, i’ve found another distro, it’s SUSE 8.0. i installed it on my computer again and it success, but i want to step further, so i search on the internet how to made my win modem working in Linux. After many hours of trial and errors i’ve managed to install the driver on Linux, and Experienced using Linux for internet for the first time, and since i’ve fallin in love with Linux
