Why i use Web application Framework ? some friends of mine asked me that, the answer it pretty simple because i needed to deploy the application quickly.

The web application framework i found was Symfony Web Application Framework, it’s PHP based, have admin generator, and suddenly creating an web application become easier. You don’t need to have technical skill to create an symfony based web application.

I choose the already-available web application framework instead making a new one because, although i use PHP intensively, creating a code generator need some extra knowledge which i don’t currently have. Creating a new one need extras time, and time is valuable asset since we cannot stop or make it slow.

After some research on the internet i’ve found Ruby On Rails also interesting, many people used it. The last one is appFuse, it’s java based and my friend has created a post about it.

In the end, using generator really depends on your taste, you can choose one of the framework i mentioned before , or you can create your very own generator. It’s better rather than start a project from scratch.

If you are newbie in Linux world, sometimes you would be uncertain on which distro suits you best.

Now, Linux Distro has became easier and easier so it’s not hard to find the distro that made for newbie. I’ll try to discuss two of them.

1. Ubuntu Linux

Ubuntu Linux is a direct descendant of Debian Linux, they have a great community and anthusiast,Great Hardware recognition. and their user base are growing. I really recommended this Distro for newbie why ? because of their growing user base, it’s easy to find Ubuntu Community in your neighborhood, you can find a lot of forum with a lot of variety of languages. So if your Linux has a problem, you can asked them.

2. PCLinux

PCLinux OS is a descendant of Mandriva, it’s easy to install, and also have great stabillity, if you have an Internet Connection maybe PCLinux suit you best…

well i’ll discuss only two of them since both distro are most popular distros for now. Both have 3D Effects , Ubuntu shipped with Gnome (if you want to use Ubuntu and KDE, use KUbuntu instead ) , and PCLinux shipped with KDE ( if you want PCLinux with Gnome, use PCLinux Gnome).

So the Distro suit you best, it’s depend on you now.. My Suggestion, try both of them for a couple month, see which one is comforts you

Hari kamis tanggal 10 Januari 2008 kemaren, akhirnya di adain ngoprek rutin bulanan KPLI - Bogor, Bertempat di Ummul Quro Parung. Saya berangkat dari sini jam 8 pagi demi ngejar waktu sampe ke sana tepat jam 10:00 tapi apa daya, parung adalah daerah yang lom pernah saya jelajahi , jadi gak punya ukuran waktu yang tepat. Berangkat bareng sama edi , sebagai pembawa materi Blender , sampe sana jam 11.00 WIB.

Sesampai disana kami langsung disambut oleh ketua KPLI-Bogor yang baru, dzikers . Edy langsung membawakan materi dengan antusias, sebagai penggemar blender yang antusias, dia merasa harus mulai meracuni anggota KPLI-Bogor dengan blender. Blender adalah sebuat program aplikasi 3D seperti 3D Studio Max, atau Maya 3D yang berbeda adalah Blender murni Open Source. Di awal - awal presentasi berjalan mulus, sampai sekitar jam setengah satu, tiba tiba projector nya dengan inisiatif nya sendiri memutuskan saat nya istirahat dan mengingatkan untuk solat, dan diskusi pun berlanjut sejenak tanpa projector yang sedang istirahat dengan obrolan santai sekalian bergantian solat. Di diskusi tersebut Edy bercerita tentang pengalaman dia merender 3D sampe 2 hari non stop… di diskusi tersebut edy juga sempet menceritakan berbagai render engine untuk blender , mulai dari Blender Internal, Yafray, PovRay, dan Indigo.

Diskusi di selesaikan jam 2.00 wib, untuk kemudian masuk ke diskusi masalah kepengurusan KPLI - Bogor yang baru. Sampai jam 3 akhirnya semua selesai , saya dan Edy pun kembali ke sarang, tepat nya ke petukangan. walaupun sempet tertunda karena Edy kelupaan flash disk nya … well hari kamis itu saya mendapat ilmu baru tentang 3D… waktu coba dirumah ternyata gak segampang yang saya bayangin…

Isenk - isenk waktu itu jalan jalan ke themes nya kulkas ngeliat dia ubah themes smiley, jadi pengen ikutan. Akhirnya mutusin buat cari themes smiley di adiumxtras akhirnya mutusin buat gabungin beberapa themes smiley, dan inilah hasil nya

tapi ternyata masih ada beberapa smiley yang gak bisa di tampilin …

for simple, if you ever use the “net send *” for sending a message via LAN, bonjour do almost the same, except rather only a text message, bonjour can be use for other such audio, or even a video.

Well, the good news is, since pidgin 2.2.*, they included bonjour in their standard protocol, so it’s not hard if you want to chat through local network instead of for example yahoo. it’s easy and fast to setup although it’s doesn’t have many features in it, what lack is video conference or text conference, but it’s quite useful when you doesn’t have any internet connection, since it worked it local network only. Well happy trying
